Prof. Dr. Hammam Riza holds a Doctorate in Electrical Engineering (cum laude) from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) with research conducted at the Computing Research Laboratory-NMSU, USA; a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Kentucky, USA; and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, majoring in Electronics and Control Systems from ITB. He is a Professor of AI at Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh, Indonesia. Previously, he served as the Head of BPPT (2019-2021), Deputy for Information Technology, Energy, and Materials at BPPT (2014-2018), Chief Information Officer, and Director of the ICT Center (2010-2014) – BPPT. He was responsible for the application of technology innovations to various ministries and government agencies in Indonesia, as well as global research institutions. Currently, he is the President of the Indonesian AI Industry Research and Innovation Collaboration (KORIKA), Chairman of the Indonesian Technology Auditor Association (IATI), Vice President of the ASEAN CIO Association (ACIOA), an active member of PANDI (Indonesian Internet Domain Name Manager), Co-chair of the Digitalization and AI Division at the Institution of Engineers Indonesia (PII).
